Hello from the Greenes! I’m Brittany and the hottie with me in the picture above is my husband, Jon. We are excited to share our love for travel with the world. The countdown to a trip is almost as exciting as actually getting to the destination. We spend countless hours researching the best places to see, foods to eat, shows to watch and things to do. Jon and I have traveled to 40+ cities and been on 25+ trips during our 2.5 year marriage so far. It has become a running joke with our co-workers, friends and family on “Where are you guys heading next?” We have a lot of fun trips in the near future and hope to continue to check places off the bucket list.
I’ve wanted to start a blog for many years now but wasn’t sure of the niche I wanted to focus on. I love everything related to travel, fashion, food, beauty and fitness but wanted to find a way to bring it all together. Over the past few years I’ve received a lot of personal messages asking advice regarding our previous trips. Therefore, I plan to discuss everything involved in planning, prepping and enjoying the perfect vacation.
The Blog name “Traveling Greenes” began as a silly hashtag I created on instagram to keep all of our travel photos in one spot. I really did it for “us” and not for anyone else to notice. To my surprise, people on social media did take notice and it too became another running joke with our friends. Jon was recently playing softball in a men’s league when one of his teammates called out and asked “where are the traveling Greenes headed next?” Our travel blog pretty much named itself.
Meet the Fam!
First I’ll introduce myself: I’m Brittany, a physical therapist by day and a newbie blogger and Pure Barre addict/tone it up girl by night. The way to my heart is through coffee, Mexican food and french fries, but I also love a good kale salad. It’s all about balance, right? Besides traveling, I enjoy boating, reading and spending time with our shihpoo, Maui. I’m passionate about College Football especially the SEC! In college I was on the University of South Carolina Co-Ed Cheerleading team and continue to support my alma mater. Go Gamecocks! I’m also a product junkie and have a huge problem with online shopping especially for upcoming vacations.
Meet my Hubby: Jon is a Technical Director for a production company which has him traveling quite frequently. Hello flyer miles! When he isn’t working out of town or at the base location, Jon enjoys boating, wakeboarding and has recently become obsessed with golf. He also plays in a kickball, softball and flag football league in our hometown. In college, Jon played football for Coastal Carolina University on a full scholarship and received a bachelor’s degree in business management. Thankfully he loves to travel just as much as I do. Once we return home from any vacation, Jon is already planning the next one.
